Franklin Agency FAQ

Your policy was transferred to the Franklin Agency after the relationship with your current agent changed and they no longer represented The Philadelphia Contributionship or Germantown Insurance. In some cases, depending on what state your property risk is located in your policy may have been transferred automatically to The Franklin Agency to avoid a non-renewal and a lapse in coverage.

The Franklin Agency is an insurance agency established in 1957 to operate as a full service insurance agency under the umbrella of The Philadelphia Contributionship.  The Franklin Agency only represents The Philadelphia Contributionship and Germantown Insurance. We do not offer alternate insurance carrier options. The Franklin Agency is wholly owned by The Philadelphia Contributionship.

If your property is in New Jersey; and you wish to continue to insure your home with The Philadelphia Contributionship, you have several options available to you.

1. Find another independent insurance agent to service your policy. Visit our public website (www.1752.com) and click on the “Find an Agent” tab. You can search by zip code.
2. Continue coverage on your existing policy by signing the letter received and returning to us:
   1. in the envelope provided to:
      The Philadelphia Contributionship
      P.O. Box 100 Philadelphia, PA 19105-0100
   2. Email: franklin@1752.com
   3. Fax: 267-765-4576

If your property is in Pennsylvania or Maryland, we strongly suggest that you contact your agent immediately to discuss the option of obtaining a new policy if you wish to remain a client of your current agent. You may also:

1. Find another independent insurance agent that currently represent The Philadelphia Contributionship to service your policy. Visit our public website (www.1752.com) and click on the “Find an Agent” tab. You can search by zip code.
2. If you prefer to continue to insure your property with another carrier, please respond to the letter received by signing and returning.

Upon receipt of the signed document, we will cancel your policy on the renewal effective date and your coverage will cease effective 12:01am on that date.

As required by the Pennsylvania and Maryland Departments of Insurance, if you wish to continue to insure your home with The Philadelphia Contributionship, you may do so through our servicing agent, Franklin Agency which your policy will be automatically renewed to them. If you do not respond to the letter, Franklin Agency will become your agent.

If your property is in Delaware or Virginia, we strongly suggest that you contact your agent immediately to discuss the option of obtaining a new policy if you wish to remain a client of your current agent. You may also:
