We currently have two part time openings (morning and afternoon) for a Receptionist. This position is the key point of contact for callers and visitors to our office in Old City Philadelphia. The hours for the morning position are 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM and the afternoon position hours are 1:00 to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Meet, greet and establish rapport with all visitors to The Philadelphia Contributionship, including vendors and policyholders.
  • Receive and route generic phone calls effectively
  • Receive and log incoming packages and deliveries and notify appropriate people of the deliveries
  • Accept and log payments from insureds (in person and by phone) and respond to billing questions
  • Verify insurance for mortgage companies via incoming phone calls, faxes and email
  • Handle miscellaneous projects as they arise

Hiring Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Prior front desk experience preferred
  • Bilingual ability (Spanish and English) strongly preferred

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Must be energetic, outgoing and committed to providing superior customer service
  • Strong ability and willingness to multi-task
  • Must portray a professional appearance and phone demeanor
  • Prior experience as a receptionist preferred
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn new applications as required
  • Strong attention to detail

Physical Demands:

Must sit for long periods of time
Significant time spent answering and speaking on the phone
Data entry via computer keyboard / viewing computer screen
