The Philadelphia Contributionship is the oldest successful property and casualty insurance company in the United States, having been founded by Ben Franklin in 1752. We write homeowners insurance in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. We have an A- (Excellent) rating from A.M. Best.
We currently have an opening for an Account Representative within our internal insurance agency, Franklin Agency. This is a full-time position, which includes a complete benefits package, and participation in our annual bonus program. The Franklin Agency Account Representative is responsible for providing best-in class service to all Franklin Agency clients while managing and maintaining the profitability of a book of in-house business. Also providing as a backup for Agency Service Associate whenever needed.
Responsibilities of a Franklin Agency Account Representative:
- Respond to service requests and resolve issues regarding policy information from Franklin Agency policyholders in a pleasant and friendly manner. Such requests may come via the phone, email or hard copy correspondence.
- Apply your knowledge and skills with respect to TPC coverage options and enhancements in order to ensure that client needs are matched with the appropriate coverage. When recommendations for coverage are declined, provide the appropriate documentation in the Hawksoft system.
- Respond to service requests the same day whenever possible. If same-day requests are not possible on any request or transaction, set realistic expectations with clients and deliver as promised by any committed due dates.
- Submit new business or requests for increasing coverage above binding authority to underwriting for approval with complete and accurate information based on company underwriting guidelines and authorities.
- Respond to requests for quotes generated by customers obtaining quick quotes on the company’s website at the direction of your supervisor.
- Work with TPC underwriters to help achieve and maintain acceptable Loss Ratio and Retention Ratios per company standards. Communicate with your teammate and your supervisor to promote processes and procedures and implement projects to improve profitability.
- Round out and cross sell existing accounts by promoting additional TPC products – ex: flood, umbrella, additional endorsements, Vector program.
- Use the Hawksoft Agency Management System as your primary source of documentation and future information resource for all service calls and transactions for each Franklin client.
- Provide backup support to Agency Service Associates, assist with daily download task, suspense items and Franklin email inboxes.
- Generate written correspondence via Hawksoft to Franklin policyholders in response to requests on underwriting and claim inquiries.
- Assist in the development of strategies to generate additional premium and coverages for the Franklin Agency while maintaining profitability of the book.
- Prepare and maintain a variety of reports using data from Hawksoft and the Key.
- Participate in special projects as required.
Hiring Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Current Property/Casualty License.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of agency management systems (strong preference for Hawksoft experience).
- 3 years of service experience in personal lines insurance – preferably with knowledge of TPC products.
- Superior customer service skills – knowledge, soft skills and ability to explain complicated concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and develop strategies to maintain profitability of book.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Able to work independently to implement corporate strategies and achieve agency goals.
